When candidates come to take these police tests many are unsure of how to answer the questions and the reason for this is that they do not usually come across these types of questions. This type of testing is often referred to as psychometric testing and is used to test your suitability to the role of police officer.
The vast majority of candidates turn up to the assessment centre and just hope that they will pass the police tests. While a small select few will take the time beforehand to practice these types of questions which will significantly increase their chances of success.

Imagine seeing these types of questions for the first time in the actual exam, would you start to panic? While each process will differ, in the United Kingdom, the police numerical testing will last for around twelve minutes during this period of time you will be required to give answers to twenty five questions. The test is a multiple choice test and each question will have five answers and you must select the one you believe to be correct.
