In my first article about entry level job openings I discussed how if you are a college graduate, a college student or an alumni you can get help from your institution’s career office on determining what type of employment opportunities to pursue.
Additionally, I discussed doing research on the Internet about jobs you might be interested in and casting a wide net in your career search so that you can investigate many job listings which you may ultimately find rewarding as a career opportunity.
This article will list some of the top online web portals where you can go and search entry level job openings, review job listings and submit your resume to an employment recruiter.
Monstertrak.com, which is part of Monster.com, is the largest and most visited job search site located on the Internet. It is focused on recent college graduates and those still in colleges. Monstertrack contains a large listing of part-time positions, internship positions, and entry level job openings in all areas of the country and across all types of industries.
Collegerecruiter.com features hundreds of thousands of entry level job openings for recent college graduates. This site includes 20 categories of entry level jobs that cover the whole spectrum of career opportunities that you might be interested in pursuing.
Coolworks.com is a listing of seasonal jobs that are located in some of the most spectacular places in the country. For example, you can find a summer job working at Yellowstone Park or Yosemite Park or other places like ski resorts, theme parks, ranches, and other types of fun jobs.
Experience.com deals more with providing internship job listings. This site is partnered with many college career offices that allow students the opportunity to intern at a job in order to determine if it is something that they would be interested in pursuing as a career path.
Additional entry level job opening portals include: Onedayonejob.com, Campuscareercenter.com, Indeed.com, Simplyhired.com, LinkUp.com, Jobster.com and Risesmart.com.
Now that you have a solid list of job search sites, you can begin to visit the sites and search for the job listings that seem of interest to you. Once you begin to start finding job postings that you are interested in, you will want to submit your resume for review to the job recruitment office of your prospective employer.
As mentioned in part one, you need to impress all prospective employers with a professional resume. Regardless of the work experience that you may or may not have, since you are looking at entry level job openings, you can still dazzle an employer with a well-written, highly effective job resume.
